DAY: KUSADASI – SAMOS
After your check-in and passport procedures at 07:30 in the morning at Kusadasi Meander Travel office, you depart for Samos at 09:00 and arrive at 10:15.
Upon your arrival in Samos, after passport control, you can spend your time exploring the beautiful corners of the island.If you wish, you can explore the island of Samos by renting a car and enjoy your trip to Samos in line with the little tips we have prepared for you below. Your first stop is to visit the main city of Samos, Vathy, also known as Samos City. You can visit the blue and white narrow streets shaded by colorful flowers hanging out of the gardens, souvenir shops, local cafes, Pythagoras Square with the famous Lion Statue, and the wine museum where you can taste the local wines and buy the ones you want.
After your visit to Vathy, you can visit Pythagorion, which was built on the ancient city of Samos and witnesses history with every stone. Today, Pythagorion is a small harbor town and is the most visited point of the island due to its history and beauty. You can shop in the small souvenir shops along the road leading to the harbor and enjoy Greek appetizers, dried and grilled octopus and scallops with Ouzo in the restaurants lined up along the coast.
At the end of the day you can return to Vathy and relax in your hotel. In the evening, be sure to treat yourself to this menu at a taverna near your hotel… grilled octopus, calamari, scallops, tarama, tzatziki, horta, salad, saganaki, fish and ouzo/wine.
2. DAY: FREE TIME – SAMOS – KUSADASIToday you will travel to the other side of Samos island. After breakfast at your hotel in the morning, you will drive to the village of Manolates. This mountain village is about 25km from Vathy and you will pass through a lush forest and the Valley of Nightingales on the way.
When you park your car, you will witness the Aegean Sea all around you with this magnificent view. Be sure to visit the ceramic workshops where the people of the village earn their living, and you will love the small typical houses painted in blue and white with colorful flowers hanging down from the windows and balconies. If you get tired, you can stop at any of the restaurants or cafes in this magnificent mountain village.
One of your next important stops is Kokkari, once a small fishing village with its cozy atmosphere; with its historic church, many cafeterias and restaurants, it is a wonderful place where you can relax and relieve all the tiredness of the day from your shoulders. You’ll have enough time to wander through the tiny, colorful streets and buy souvenirs for your loved ones.
Please note that you must be ready at the port for check-in and customs clearance 1 hour before the ferry departure time.
Upon your arrival in Kusadasi, you will complete your passport and customs procedures and finish your Samos holiday.
Campaign Details
- The campaign date is every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday between October 01 – 31 and is limited to five rooms per day.
- The campaign includes Aeolis Hotel, Samos City Hotel, and similar hotels.
- Reservation changes can only be made once on the day of purchase.
- Reservation is non-transferable, name change, and cannot be canceled.
- The campaign includes round-trip ferry ticket to Kusadasi / Samos, Kusadasi and Samos port taxes, 1 or 2 nights bed / breakfast accommodation in accordance with the package purchased, and any other fees are not included in the price / campaign fee.
